An Introduction to World Political Politics

Politics is a human endeavor to organize the society. It involves the political systems and political parties and their struggles for power in the polity. Politics is often defined as the process by which social groups make collective choices about how to govern their interactions with others, the forms of government and the relationship between citizens and their political institutions. Politics has been defined as a system for the purpose of social organization and self-government by humans.

Politics is the study of the mechanisms of social organizations in making collective decisions through deliberation and the use of delegated authority. The major part of politics is called political science and the other part social science. The study of politics dates back to the period of Greek political thinkers. Politics is a significant part of human society and it influences every aspect of human life, from personal choices to collective decisions to the formation of institutions.

Politics is the study of public opinion and the political system of a country. Politics is a branch of political science that attempts to describe the processes of political action and politics is an avenue for public debate concerning important public issues. The main areas of politics are constitutional government, institutional government, national government, and international political action. In constitutional government, politics concerns the formulation of laws and the protection of rights derived from the constitution. Intrastate political competition is also a significant area of politics. National government is the center of political influence in a country.

Politics is divided into various branches: majoritarian, multiparty, minority, constitutional, and proportional. Majoritarian politics are known for the control of the populace by a governing party, popularly called the majoritarian party. Multitary politics are political parties organized on universal platforms, which can include national, provincial, and local levels. Minority and proportional systems are systems that put power into the hands of a small group, typically a party of voters, who have a defined interest group. Constitutional politics concerns the legitimacy of a country’s government. Constitutional politics is the form of politics in which the process of politics can be influenced by the governing rules of a country.

Politics is the science of getting political power for a specific reason, like a party to gain an office, to win in an election, or to form a government. A typical political party tries to gain an office through the method of voting. Parties also try to form coalitions to get seats in the House of Representatives and Senate. When the ruling party does not have enough support to win an election, some form of dirty politics, which include fabrication of facts, is used to sway the election results. For instance, some political party may use voter fraud to gain an office, or they may do some other type of dirty tricks, so as to gain an advantage over their opponents.

Politics is a unique field of study that has been continuously changing over time. There are different ways in which politics are taught in schools. In the US, history teachers usually teach majoritarian politics, whereby each political party forms an axis of power based on their representation in the House of Representatives and the Senate, with the rest of the parties forming the opposition. Liberal democracy, socialism, and freedom are the other types of politics. Some political scientists believe that the present world political system is characterized by complex inter-links among the ruling parties, and their various agents and representatives in various states. Politics is the system of the control of the resources of a nation.
